The Family Systems Institute is hosting this special screening of Love in Our Own Time as part of their New Year Symposium: Entrances and Exits in the Family, which will look at the impact of births and deaths on a family system. This event is open to the public.

The film will screen from 6pm to 7:30pm (the 56 minute version of the film followed by discussion). You are welcome to attend the whole symposium or just the film screening and discussion.

The afternoon is hosted by The Family Systems Institute, which exists to develop and apply family systems theory, as developed by Dr Murray Bowen, to assist people in their efforts to improve relationships. The presentation and film discussion will challenge the common denial of death Bowen described:
‘Chief among all taboo subjects is death. A high percentage of people die alone, locked into their own thoughts which they cannot communicate to others.’
